Oil Slick Bullshit…

No offense, but it just seems that the media does their damnedest to put us out of business.  Whether it’s a Tropical Storm located 600 miles away going the wrong direction or an oil-slick almost 1,000 miles away moving away from us.  If it’s sensational and has even the slightest chance of screwing up your vacation…  it’s going to be headline news.  It all boils down to “Keep watching our TV channel and WORRY!”  What we need is a good Washington scandal to get the media out of our backyard :)

So, enough for my venting.  Let’s see what we did the last couple of days.  As I said before (be sure and scroll down the page and check out the past few entries…  they reach back for 5 years now, look to the right hand side of the page!) Dolphin Season is on!

Katie and Josh Smith brought their friends and had a wonderful day on the cobalt blue waters of Key West, Florida.  Bonitos, Barracudas, and Dolphin kept them busy as well as fed for several meals.  As Katie Says,” they’ll be back!”

The day before, Rodger and Pam Wilson fished aboard the “Mr. Z” sportfishing boat out of Key West and even though they didn’t get as much action on other species, they had a better day on Dolphin with several teenagers (between 13 and 19 pounds), a couple of twenty pounders and several gaffers.

And Sam Rossman brought his bachelor party to Key West, Florida for the two things we are known for best…  Partying and big fish!

And, last but not least, I finally bought the perfect guitar for my upcoming gig with Big and Rich and Cowboy Troy…  A Gretsch White Falcon cowboy guitar!  For me, it’s not always all about fishing :)   In case you are a musician and wondering what the heck are those other guitars in the background, they are 12 string basses.  Very rare.  If you have an interest, go to www.12stringbass.net to learn more.  Now, back to the fishing!

The moral of this entry is, if you don’t have a picture, it didn’t happen, and don’t believe everything you see on TV!
