Key West Sport Fishing With Captain Craig
About the Captain...
Captain
Craig Eubank has been a Captain in Key West since 1986. Originally from
North Carolina, he attended school at Indiana University and briefly toured
with various Rock and Roll bands in Indianapolis and Dallas, Texas before
moving to Key West, Fl. (See
Capt. Craig's' music page.).
His first Key West job was working as a treasure salvage diver for the late, great Mel Fisher and his Treasure Salvors Inc. Craig's job as Engineer and U/W cameraman gained him extensive knowledge of the history and sea-life around the Florida Keys.
After 3 years of working for Treasure Salvors Inc., he began his career as a charter boat Operator. Throughout the 90's, Captain Craig has fished many different vessels including his own light-tackle boat "Strato-Caster" and, of course, the "Mr. Z."
He has spent years fishing the waters off Key West, the Marquesas Keys, the Dry Tortugas and more than three dozen trips to Habana, Cuba, as far west as Cabo San Antonio.

Highlights include: the Florida Keys "Gator" Dolphin Derby Tournament Top Angler 1998; Geiger Key Dolphin Tournament Top Female Angler 1996; Key West Texaco "Curry Challenge" Third place winner 1999 and Third place again in 2004; and the Cuban "Hemingway" Marlin Tournament (the oldest marlin tournament in the world) Second place 1998, Fifth place 2002. The “Mr. Z” also caught the first and largest capture of a Blue Marlin in the 1996 Hemingway Tournament.
For information on local tournaments, see our Key West Fishing Tournament Calendar. Be sure to book early with Captain Craig for tournaments.
Captain Craig's expertise and solid judgment have come through hard work and experience. His methods are time-tested and proven. This is no semi-retired, laid back Captain!

Captain Craig with Captain Gregorio Fuentes, at his home in Cojimar, Cuba, June 1998. Captain Fuentes was Ernest Hemingway's captain and the inspiration for the book,
"The Old Man and the Sea." Fuentes passed away in January 2002 at the age of 104.
Remember! If it swims, we can catch it!
